Author?s Notes: I know, I don?t write Josh/Donna, but somehow this one just happened.

We were together or we spoke on the phone everyday, for over nine years. Her thoughts were mine, we were a team.

The day we left the White House, as we packed our things, one day out of nowhere, she told me she wanted a break, to go back to school.

I had thought she would stay with me, follow me to my new position.

That was four years ago, we've spoken maybe half a dozen times since.

The last time was at her wedding.

I don't think of her everyday anymore, but she still shows up in my dreams.
